Used Enclosed Trailers for Sale & Pre-Owned Enclosed Trailers

Quality Used Enclosed Trailers, Inspected and Priced to Move

Northwest Rides sells used enclosed trailers for sale with the same inspection standard we apply to every new unit on our lot. Every pre-owned trailer goes through a full check before it gets a price tag. If something needs fixing, we fix it first.

Our pre-owned stock rotates regularly. Most of it comes through trade-ins and consignment, so the brands, sizes, and configurations change week to week. Buying a used enclosed trailer offers significant cost savings. Used trailers typically cost 20% to 50% less than new models, and they skip the initial depreciation that hits the moment a new trailer leaves the lot. You get a road-ready trailer at a lower price with no surprises.

Current Pre-Owned & Consignment Inventory

What you see above is our current pre-owned and consignment stock. This section updates as trailers come in and sell out. If the grid looks thin or empty, that does not mean we are out of good trailers. It means the right one has not come through the door yet.

Pre-owned enclosed trailers move fast, especially well-maintained units in popular sizes like 6x12 or 7x14. Check back often, or call us at (208) 500-8700 so we can let you know when something matching your needs arrives.

If nothing here fits, keep reading. Our Sale & Clearance inventory and Build a Trailer program give you two more paths to the right trailer.

Reputable sellers are transparent about the trailer's history and condition. That is the standard we hold ourselves to.

Why Buy a Used Enclosed Trailer From Northwest Rides?

Not every used trailer on the market has been looked over by someone who knows what to look for. Here is what you get when you purchase from us:

  • Pre-inspection standard that covers roof seals, wall panel condition (inside and out), brakes, tires, lighting, and frame integrity. We check for water damage, since enclosed trailers are built to protect cargo from the elements during transport and seal and panel issues can affect the trailer’s longevity, before anything goes up for sale.
  • Transparent one-price pricing with no added fees, no “doc fees,” no last-minute line items. The price you see is the price you pay.
  • No-hassle sales process. No pressure. No upsells. You look, you ask questions, you decide.
  • Financing availability with approvals typically within 24 hours through lender partners including Sheffield Financial. Monthly payments can be as low as $117 for trailers depending on terms and credit.
  • Broader brand variety through consignment. Our new inventory carries Haulmark, Alcom, and Diamond Cargo. But consignment brings in brands like Sundowner, Wells Cargo, and Continental Cargo, giving you more options to explore than a single-brand lot ever could.

New vs. Used Enclosed Trailers: Which Is Right for You?

Both paths get you a pre-inspected, transparently priced trailer from the same lot. The trade-off comes down to warranty and customization versus upfront cost.

New Enclosed Trailer If You Want

  • Full manufacturer warranty coverage (structural and limited)
  • Exact specification through our Build a Trailer program for Haulmark, Alcom, or Diamond Cargo
  • Zero wear history or previous use
  • A guaranteed timeline on your custom build

Used Enclosed Trailer If You Want

  • A lower upfront purchase price.
  • Faster availability. Used trailers typically offer immediate availability. No build wait, no production queue.
  • Access to a wider variety of brands through consignment inventory
  • Already-proven condition and performance. Trailer technology changes slowly, so older models remain functional and capable for years.

The only real question: do you value customization and warranty more, or do you want to save money and drive away today?

Our Pre-Delivery Inspection on Every Used Enclosed Trailer

Every used enclosed trailer we sell goes through a full inspection before we price it. Here is what we check, starting with the items that matter most on enclosed trailers:

  • Roof and seam seals. We examine every sealant bead for cracking, lifting, or separation at transition points: roof-to-sidewall seams, vents, roof edges, corner trim, and fasteners. Aluminum roofs are preferable for reflecting heat and preventing rust, and we note the roof material and condition. Check for intact seals and weatherstripping to prevent leaks.
  • Wall panels. We look for delamination, bubbling, dents, loose rivets, and compromised trim on the exterior. Inside, we check for stains, mold odors, or soft spots that indicate past water intrusion. Thicker exterior skin on trailers resists warping and improves durability, and we note skin gauge and condition.
  • Door function and seals. Barn doors and ramp doors get tested for smooth operation, hinge condition, and locking mechanisms. Consider ramp doors for easy loading of rolling items. Door seals must be intact and compress properly.
  • Frame and axles. Inspect the frame for deep rust or signs of past repairs before buying. We check crossmembers, outriggers, and welds. Axles must be straight. Torsion axles provide a smoother ride compared to leaf-spring axles, and we note which type is installed.
  • Tires. Inspect tires for age and tread depth. Tires older than 5 to 6 years should generally be replaced due to dry rot. We replace any that do not meet safety standards.
  • Brakes and lighting. Inspect lights and brakes to confirm they function correctly. Test all running and brake lights as part of a thorough inspection. Wiring harnesses are checked for corrosion or bad splices.
  • Floor and subfloor. Plywood or treated lumber floors are checked from underneath for rot, warping, or soft spots. Crossmember supports must be solid.
  • Title and VIN. Verify the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) matches the title and registration. A clean title and matching VIN are crucial to prevent title fraud. Maintenance records can provide insights into the trailer’s history and care.

We fix any issues before the trailer is offered for sale.

What Our Customers Say

Pavel was great! Worked with him while deciding exactly what trailer I wanted. Great communication and it finally all worked out. Got our perfect setup yesterday and couldn’t be happier!!!

Joseph Garcia

Spokane, WA

Nothing but good things to say. The whole sales process was excellent. Pavel was so patient and easy to deal with. He answered and explained all my many questions. He made suggestions, but didn’t push anything. The only hard part was waiting for my build to be delivered 😁 Thanks Northwest Rides!

Vance Lubahn

Seattle, WA

Couldn’t be happier with the enclosed trailer I bought from northwest rides. I came from western Washington because they had exactly what I was looking for. Julia and Pavel were awesome to do business with. They had my trailer ready to go when I arrived and made the process a breeze. I would absolutely make the drive again! Thanks again!

Trade In or Consign Your Trailer

Most of our pre-owned inventory originates from trade-ins and consignment. That is also where the outside-brand variety comes from. When someone trades in a Sundowner or Wells Cargo, it expands our stock beyond the three brands we carry new.

The process is straightforward:

  • Trade-in: We assess your trailer’s condition and provide a value. That amount applies directly to your next purchase, used or new.
  • Consignment: You keep ownership while we handle the listing, the lot space, the sales process, and the paperwork. When it sells, you get paid.

Both options keep good trailers circulating and give buyers more to choose from. When purchasing, evaluate the seller’s online presence and history. We stand behind every unit we list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your used enclosed trailers inspected before sale?

Yes. Every pre-owned enclosed trailer goes through a full pre-delivery inspection covering roof seals, wall panels, frame, axles, brakes, tires, lighting, floor condition, and title verification. If something does not pass, we fix it before listing the trailer for sale. You will not find hidden problems waiting for you after purchase.

Should I buy new or used?

That depends on your priorities. A new trailer gives you a full warranty, exact specs, and zero prior use. A used trailer saves you money upfront, is available immediately, and gives you access to brands we do not carry new. Expect to pay significantly less for a used trailer than for a new one. Both options go through the same inspection process at our lot.

What if you don't have any pre-owned trailers in stock right now?

Pre-owned stock rotates based on trade-ins and consignment, so inventory can be thin at times. Check our Sale & Clearance section for discounted new trailers that sometimes land near used pricing. You can also build a custom trailer through our Build a Trailer program. Or call (208) 500-8700, and we will let you know when something matching your needs comes in.

Can I finance a used trailer?

Yes. We offer financing through lender partners including Sheffield Financial, with approvals typically within 24 hours. Terms depend on credit and the amount financed. Cash purchases are just as simple with no separate process required.

Can I trade in my current trailer toward a used one?

Absolutely. We accept trade-ins toward any purchase, used or new. We assess your trailer's condition, provide a value, and apply it to your next trailer. The process is straightforward, and we handle the paperwork. A used trailer's condition and seller's reputation significantly affect its value, so well-maintained trade-ins receive better offers.
